Expanding the Autism Innovation Ecosystem: A National Call to Collaborate

The Autism Innovation Lab and the Autism Business Council have joined forces with two leading institutions in the field of neurodiversity-driven entrepreneurship and innovation: the Frist Center for Autism & Innovation at Vanderbilt University and the Janus Innovation Hub. Together, this partnership is building a powerful public-private network dedicated to accelerating transformative solutions in autism-focused business development, housing innovation, and startup incubation.

This collaboration combines:

  • The Autism Innovation Lab’s unique focus on parent-led entrepreneurship, autism startups, and social enterprises.
  • The Autism Business Council’s nationwide mission to certify autism-friendly businesses and foster inclusive economic development.
  • The Frist Center’s groundbreaking research and neurodiverse talent pipelines.
  • Janus Innovation Hub’s expertise in scaling impact-driven ventures and cultivating investment readiness

Our Shared Goal

To create a global ecosystem of autism innovation, where startups, parent entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors can co-design solutions that dramatically improve the lives of autistic individuals and their families. Together, we are bridging gaps between academic research, community needs, and real-world business execution.

We invite other autism-focused incubators, accelerators, startup programs, and academic institutions to join this growing alliance. By pooling resources, expertise, and networks, we can:

  • Scale inclusive housing models across states and regions.
  • Build sustainable, autism-friendly business ecosystems.
  • Accelerate technology, product, and service innovation designed with and for the autism community.
  • Create a national investment pipeline that ensures the best ideas don’t die for lack of capital or mentorship.
